Tonsillectomy T+6
Jul. 10th, 2013 10:47 am7th day and all is going fine I guess.
I was able to get out of the house twice on Tuesday and walk to the Castro.
Still hard to speak. Throat is getting more red around the white patches, which I *think* is good. Besides the white patches looking gross, it leaves a gross feeling in my mouth that I can't shake. It makes juice and applesauce taste awful.
The pain remains tolerable. When it does come, my ears hurt most. The liquid Vicodin works pretty fast, and within 15-20 minutes there isn't pain. The medicine is some horrible fruit flavor. I'd take it more on schedule if it were in pill form. Swallowing my regular pills is fairly easy. Liquids are getting easier to swallow.
I continue to take Flexeril at bedtime with my Ambien. That really helps me sleep longer. I rested a bit during the day, but no naps.
Pain: 3-5
Diet: Jello, Popsicles, Mashed Potatoes, Scrambled Eggs
Meds: 8:30am 10ml, 4pm 15ml, 10pm 15ml
