It was nice that my boss was out of the office yesterday. At lunchtime I went home for a bit. I stopped at Welcome Home for a Reuben Burger, stopped at Walgreens for some "extra long" bandages, then went home. It was my first time there since moving in and staying overnight last week. God, there's a lot of unpacking to be done!

I took note of a few hardware things I needed, and headed out to Cliff's for those. I walked down Clover just in case a #33 was going my way. Yep, I got to the bus stop just as it was approaching. Got off the bus and stopped at Does Your Mother Know to get a birthday card for Arthur. Michael was friendly to me as always, noting that he hadn't seen me for awhile. When I made my purchase, Larry was coming on duty. He asked if I enjoyed my trip. Oh, that's where I recognize him from. He was staying at CCBC. He explained to Michael that I'd been naked square dancing.

I went to Cliff's, got an awl, some peg board hooks, some shelving stuff, two-to-three prong outlet plugs, and had copies of keys made. I had realized earlier that Steve has the one and only downstairs key, so I couldn't move anything down there until he comes up with the key. I need to remember to make copies of that one when he comes up this afternoon.

Took my purchases home, put away, then headed back to work. I ran into Bill from church in the subway station. He came over and chatted with me. I was glad when the train came and he boarded the other set of doors. John, former bartender at Moby Dick, grabbed my arm on the train and said hello. I was surprised that he remembers my name. It's been ages since he worked at Moby's. I had exchanged a "howdy" email with him a time or two several months ago when I saw him online at m4m4sex.com.

I worked until 4pm, then back home. Stopped at Cala and got some broccoli & dip, and also some frozen meals. They finally had my very favorite Weight Watcher's entree back in stock: Chicken Enchillada Suiza. I love those. And they were on sale this week 4 for $7. Woohoo!

Got home and did some unpacking. Didn't seem to make much of a dent, but I just need to keep at it whenever I get a chance. Did that until around 7:15, then left for square dancing at Western Star.

Dancing was ok. I was surprised to be "up" for it. Ron and Fen took turns calling. There were 12-13 dancers at any given time. We mostly tagged in, but Ron did a few calls where he was able to use 6 couples.

Called Steve after dancing, then I unpacked for awhile. I was exhausted and went to bed around 11pm. I got up at 5am and did some more unpacking. Not sure if I'll be able to get things unpacked by Saturday evening. That's my goal. We'll see.

Got an email from Roy this morning. His house in Kansas City is sold, and it closed last Friday right before the tornadoes hit town. Not sure if it was impacted. That sure would be a bitch for the new owners! So nice to hear that he no longer has to worry about getting that sold. I read that there was severe storm damage in Riverside, which is about 7 miles from his house. My sister Judy reported that she had no damage, but housing developments one mile to the south and two miles to the north of her were completely devastated.

Junior continues to cause grief. It seems that he told Violet something that I apparently said about her TWO YEARS AGO. Violet didn't say what, but sent me an email letting me know about hurt feeling, blah blah blah. Well, I have no idea what she's talking about since I wasn't told what was said. Junior needs bitch-slapped. Anyhow, I sent an email to Violet, but it was bounced from AOL. Apparently Violet has blocked any emails from me now. Typical Violet. I've seen rent-a-wreck's that need less maintenance!
