Charles MansonSon
Oct. 24th, 2010 03:49 pmWent to Thai Food Mary for lunch. Some Po Tak soup was good for the raining (and recovering) day. Shopped at Cliff's, then went to Starbears for a coffee.
We were on the bench outside talking to Kenipedia, and the apparent son of Charles Manson (or perhaps it was just a dissheveled homeless tweaker), sat on a chair near us to get out of the pouring rain. He listened to our conversation and laughed at (mostly) appropriate times, but later he just laughed nonstop to himself. He got into some tiff with another homeless guy before leaving.
Son of Manson soon returned, but Steve & I were ready to head home. We got up to Toad Hall and realized that MansonSon was following us. We kept walking, and the guy would dart into a doorway whenever we stopped. This continued up past Diamond. I had to post some mail, so I stopped to get the envelopes out of my jacket. Steve walked ahead of me, and the guy followed him. When Steve turned around, the guy walked past him, but stopped in front of the Post Office.
We posted the mail then decided to head back to the more-populated Delano's. The guy headed back towards us. We crossed 18th, and he didn't make the traffic, so he crossed Diamond. We went to cross Diamond, but paused. He hesitated and continued down 18th to catch up with us downhill. We waited for a bit and then turned around and headed home. Stopped at Adorabella's to make sure he wasn't following us, then continued home.
I hadn't seen that one before. I love my City.
