Arthur came over on Saturday and was able to remove the bathroom lightbulb from its socket. Then Double-0-Steven and I went to the Castro and lunched at The Cove. Saw [livejournal.com profile] sfjeep there. Saw him again later at Starbears. We chatted briefly with Glover and with [livejournal.com profile] ricksf. Got a new bulb and then came home.

Went to the LS beerbust around 5pm. Danny was working and brought out a shirt that I had left there last Sunday. It was warm last Sunday, so I removed my flannel shirt and hung it on a hook almost as soon as we arrived. How Danny knew it was mine is beyond me. I asked him, and he just mysteriously said he "had his ways of knowing." Kewl. We went to Leticia's for dinner after the bust, then home.

Had a quiet Sunday morning at home, then went to A1 class at 2pm. We got there right before 2pm, but they had already started. There were not enough angels for the first 45 minutes or so to make a second square, so sat out the first LONG tip, then made sure we squared up right away for the second tip. Except for watching them workshop Mainstream calls for that first tip, dancing was okay. To keep the angels there, they did an angel tip. I was pulled in as the 8th person. All the angels were C1, so they dragged me through a C1 tip. I did pretty well with some coaching. At the end of the A1 class, Dan stormed off soon after the tip started. I'm not sure what happened, but a cardinal rule in square dancing is to NEVER EVER leave a square (except due to injury). Don was quick to step in. I've seen Dan storm off before, but never during a tip.

After the class, the club dancing from 4-6pm was at "floor level." A few A1 students stayed around for one tip, then left. Except for me, the other dancers were C1. After one break, Peggy asked me to show her the list of C1 calls I knew from class or on my own. For the last 45 minutes, she used that list, plus several calls I didn't know. I managed to get through them pretty well. I had lots of fun with that. Not having C1 class last week or this week, it was great to get in some C1 dancing. Got home a bit after 6pm.

Steve was just about ready to leave for the LS, so I quickly changed shoes, and off we went. We waited in line out front in the rain for about 10 minutes. We got inside to find lots of handsome guys. I love my City! Got a big smooch from J. He's always eager for play. I love that. Saw [livejournal.com profile] dacubsf, [livejournal.com profile] arkanjil, [livejournal.com profile] graphicubsf and a couple other LJ'ers. Spent a lot of time with Paul, Victor, and Ken. They were really cracking me up. Some beer busts are just damned fun.
