Apr 30-
May 02: Palm Springs - Peel-Off (Andy Shore is calling. Woohoo.)

Three gold stars to the man with the calendar.

Christ, I have trouble thinking about next week's activities, let alone next year's!!! :)

Yuk!! Phoenix in July? Been there done that. It'll either be 119 with dry heat. Or the beginning of monsoons which will be 105 and high humidity. You're hitting it about that changeover period with the summer weather

I know! Ick! It's going to be at the Biltmore Spa & Resort, so I'm counting on them to know how to make people comfortable in that horrible heat. I hate heat! If it weren't the annual convention, I'd have skipped it.

The Biltmore is a pretty nice place. I use to live up the road from there on Camelback Rd. Biltmore is very very nice. i'm sure they have plenty of AC to keep you cool. I know for a fact they have a killer pool area. Good part of town also. And if you go up Camelback heading west about two miles there's a Country Western bar called Charlies. Lots of gay hunky cowboys. And if you go over to Indian School Rd. at 9th St. There's a leather bar called padlock in case you were wanting to go out while you're there. Padlock tends to have a friendlier crowd though than Charlies does.

Howdy there, but Charley's has all the HUNKY cowboy types and country music. Well, it does when the rodeo is in town in Jan. I will be there then. I never made it out to the Padlock, but did make it to the bear bar near the airport called New Town, I think. That place was pretty damned cool and right next to a hometown Bar-B-Que place.

yeah. Charlies does have the hunky cowboys and country music. And the hunky cowboys do make for some really nice eye candy. But they also tend to have the attitude there as well. Where Padlock is more of a laid back kind of crowd. Kind of like me and Fuzzygruf are use to at Lone Star. I know NuTown also. They have a beer bust there on Sundays. That's where all the bears tend to go to on sundays. It's a pretty festive time. The BBQ place next door is killer. If I remember right it's on East Van Buren

Jeff, I found Charlie's to be laid back.....sorta like the LoneStar was the 3 years I hung there and the crowd I hung with, including you....but then again, maybe it was just because the rodeo crowd was in Phoenix. Both are pretty close by each other, so it is worth checking out both of them. And yeppers, it was the Beer Bust on Sunday at Nutown when I was there. I haven't found a good Bar-B-Que place out here. Damn, wish I could get some good ole NC Bar-B-Que.
