Interesting, where I live now I don't consider walkable but I got a 71.

Where I grew up in Orange County I got a 31.

We're a 38, but I bet that's better than the norm for suburbia!

Phil's a 97? I always thought of him more as a 10.

My score came up 97, which is nuts because my neighborhood is a total 100!

I was surprised that it took my Spanish address, but it did correctly identify where I live. The data for the various types of places was seriously out-of-whack. I guess it doesn't know the Spanish names for various things.

I agree that walk score is convenient, but nowadays more and more people drive cars and they are interested also in drive score. I've found this type of service on www.fizber.com. Drive Score shows a map of what establishments are in a property’s neighborhood and calculates a Drive Score based on the number of places within a convenient driving distance. Homes are often located in an area where restaurants, libraries, grocery stores, hospitals and other businesses are easier to get to by car than on foot.

I'm just glad that I live in a place where I don't have/need/want a car.
