Sing, sing a song...
Sep. 5th, 2003 09:40 amI was super productive yesterday at work. It seems my one project is nearing completion, and I've obtained more than half the approvals. Just a few more to go... Besides that incident with my director leaving me off emails (GRRRRR), it was a good day for exchanging emails with my boss. She sent me a few, no doubt thinking I didn't have anything to provide, and I gave her more than she could have expected. I don't often have days like that. I also notified my department that Payroll finally updated the intranet site in order for people to update their pre-tax commuter amounts due to the Muni fare hike.
Got home, did dishes and picked up a bit while Steve napped. I also gathered all the stuff to pack for this weekend. I showered, then Steve and I prepared some meat & cheese plates for the sing-a-long. Valupak sent another envelope full of coupons yesterday. Good timing. I used the Escape From NY coupon (and an older one I had) to order a couple of X-large pizzas. (None for me, thank-you-very-much.)
rootbeer1 was the first guest to arrive to the sing-a-long. He had been to the big book sale on the Presidio earlier, and he was hauling around a large box of books. That must have sucked to walk with that up to our place!
qbear arrived shortly afterwards. Chip & John showed up, then Rhoda came in about 7:30pm. Between chatting and pizza, we didn't get started with singing until around 8pm.
I played a song or two, then I turned over the piano to Chip. A Broadway musician by profession, he's great. Chip played some Godspell stuff that I never play, so Rhoda seemed to like that. The arrangements in the book our difficult for me. Chip loved playing 'em. Jack & Steve left around 9:30pm. John played for a bit. We played until nearly 10:30pm. A bit late for our neighbors, I'm guessing, but we had a good time. After the guests left, we cleaned up and watched West Wing on Bravo.
Got an early start this morning. I finished packing and had read the paper before Steve got up. I got to Castro Station and boarded a one-car Castro Shuttle. I had seen the #37 Corbett bus arrive just as I got there, so I knew to quickly grab a seat. Immediately, someone sat next to me. It was Mark, having just got off the #37. I've seen him out and about several times over the past year, but we've not really said more than hello. It's been over two years since he last fucked me. He's an excellent top. Hmmmmm. We had an okay conversation on the way to Embarcadero Station. I did let him know that Steve was going to Spain and I needed someone to help keep the hot tub warm. Who knows.
