It's Moving Day!
Aug. 21st, 2003 07:35 amAt my lunchbreak yesterday, I took a nice stroll past Justin Herman Plaza. I then went to the Drumm Street Walgreens for Listerine tabs. The Altoids strips were on sale, cheaper than Listerine, so I got one plain and one cinnamon. The plain ones were plain, but the cinnamon ones had much more kick than the Listerine tabs. Went to Walgreens in the Castro after work to get some more, but they weren't marked on sale there. Guess I'll head back to Drumm Street today to stock up.
At home I swept and vacuumed downstairs. I cleaned up the kitchen, and pretty much got everything ready for Steve's move when I had the refrigerator fiasco. After that was handled, it was too late to go to the WSD club night. No big deal. I washed a load of towels, having used several to mop up the water in the kitchen. (Wet towels on the kitchen floor sure cleaned it better than spot cleaning it!)
I watched a bit of TV. Not much on Wednesdays until a West Wing repeat at 9pm. Steve called and we talked for 30 minutes. (I hate talking on the phone, so you know I'm in love when I'm on the phone for half an hour!) Then I watched a South Park rerun and went to sleep on the couch.
I woke up at 5:30am and got ready for work. Put away some last minute things. The flat looks ready for Steve's move. I left the house before the newspaper showed up, and got into work before 7am.
The movers show up to Steve's house at 10am. They estimated it'd take two trips (why don't they use a bigger truck?). It'll be so nice when this is done. We've been talking about it since April and anticipating it since mid-May. Having been together since December 2001, I'm excited and looking forward to this next phase in our relationship!
