Another Sunday, another beerbust
Aug. 11th, 2003 10:54 amHeaded to LS beerbust around 5pm yesterday. Decent crowd and it got pretty busy within the hour. Got in some hugs and stuff with J. Double-0-Steven came over and chatted while I had one finger down J's shorts and up his ass. Life is sweet.
Junior was there in the same garanimals outfit that he wore to church. A year and a half ago, it was painful to see him out and about because of the feelings I had. Now it's just painful because of the clothes he wears. I chatted with him a bit about shows, then distanced myself from him.
I stuck to water to see if the alchohol was the culprit impeding the weight loss. I certainly don't have as much fun. Steve, on the other hand, was having lots of fun. That's always nice to see.
Some nice scenery at the bar yesterday. Some hot guy whom I had glanced at across the crowded patio came up to me while I was in the bathroom line and told me I had the best looking eyes. I had to laugh to myself. Obviously he hadn't seen me close up in the light. I've recently developed some rash on the eyelids that makes me very self-conscious. Looking online, it appears it could be up to about a dozen different things. I have a doctor appointment next week, so I'll have him check it then. Probably got some bad contact lens.
This morning, my manager left a voicemail at work a bit before 7am. Bitch. I had retrieved it at home, so I knew to get into the office earlier rather than later. Apparently her husband was having surgery this morning and needed me to facilitate the Monday project meeting for her. If my husband were having surgery, I wouldn't bother to show up to work. Guess our priorities are different.
The meeting went fine. Gizelle was there, so hopefully I made a good impression. It's just a silly meeting, but it does help if she sees me doing something well. I got us out within 50 minutes, so that's success enough. On the elevator back up, Dee Ann even commented that I did a good job facilitating. She has no influence on my reviews. Too bad.

Date: 2003-08-14 07:54 am (UTC)On Sunday afternoons, the Lone Star is still the best place in town for the most bears for the buck. Or fears for the fuck. Something like that.
