Started off yesterday with the bad news about my uncle. I got to work early, then at 8:30 went to the dentist for a cleaning/checkup. The sonic cleaning thing was not too pleasant. I'm going to need a root canal on one tooth. I'm also going to an excess part of my gum removed by one tooth. Turns out that I don't have enough coverage left on my dental insurance for the root canal. The tooth isn't bothering me at the moment, so hopefully it can hold out 6 months. What a great country we have. The gum thing will be covered, and I get that done in a couple weeks.

At 11am, I had my semi-annual review. Worst review in my entire life. Some justified, some not. One area I definitely excel is at work is communication. I provide excellent minutes, great documentation, and give good presentations. My boss said that since other areas are low, she's sticking with a low rating on everything. Bitch. There are lower ratings possible, but I definitely have my work cut out for me. Interestingly enough, I received an email today from some career counselling thing online that I had been checking out. It started out with "Have you ever gotten a review where it focused on your weaknesses?" Wow. Amazing timing. It was a very inspiring article, and very relevant to my situation. It gave the example that Babe Ruth stopped pitching (at which he was very good) to focus on batting. Hmmmmm. The rest of the work day was busy with coordinating SORD stuff.

Got home and [livejournal.com profile] daninca came over to take photos for his class assignment. I hadn't met him before, just saw the request for additional subjects in [livejournal.com profile] drewbearsf's and [livejournal.com profile] baraksf's blogs. Dan's a great guy and was fun to work with. Good luck with your project!

Steve called after his met with the stager. Looks like she wants him to move all, or almost all, of his furniture up to the City within the next couple of weeks. Woohoo! I'm so excited about him actually moving in and making our flat a home together. With it being so empty, it doesn't have much of a homey feel. No pics up on the walls yet, etc. We've got lots of packing to do!

Went to Firewood for dinner before going to FCD. Steve & Will came in shortly after us and joined us. Will lives just around the corner, so hopefully we can all do more stuff together. Got to FCD, and we had Plus-level dancing from 7:30-8pm. I danced as a "boy." I didn't pretty well, except I still need practice swinging my partner. Everything else seemed fine, even at Andy's quick tempo. At 8am, the new MS class started. I heard that there were 14 people in the class. That's probably about the size of most recent classes. Some in the class seemed like they'll have no problem at all. Some seem absolutely terrible. I avoided their square for the most part.

Gonna be busy with work today. Grrrrrrrr.
