My Uncle Ed
Aug. 5th, 2003 08:00 amUneventful afternoon, then went to WSD for their Plus class. With 14 people, we were a couple short for two squares. With 5 class members, only 3 angels could dance at a time. Dan seemed to be up there for every tip. Whatever. I get my extra dancing in on Wednesdays. I did dance "boy" most of the evening when I got to dance. That first "Star Thru" got me, and Don just laughed. I was fine otherwise, except I've really got to practice swinging my partner. Went for coffee afterwards with Don & Bob. Joe is away for a couple weeks. Missed him.
Got home and called Steve. Chatted for awhile, then I watched "Who Wants to Marry My Dad." I'm liking these shows less & less, as they come across as really toying with some folks emotions. But like a bad train wreck, it keeps me checking in. Only one week left to go, after all.
With a dentist appointment this morning, I made sure to set my alarm clock. First time in weeks. I didn't get enough sleep. I dreamt that my Aunt Ann was diagnosed with brain cancer. I haven't had contact with her for a couple years.
I got an email from my father this morning stating that my Aunt Jane's husband, Ed, died on Sunday from massive heart attacks. He had gone into a diabetic coma a couple weeks ago (he didn't even know he was diabetic) and never came out of it. I never met the man, as he lived in Mexico. Sad that something like that comes from out of the blue.
