Sunday dance with Bill Eyler
Nov. 21st, 2004 10:07 pmWe went to Sausage Factory for lunch, then off to Friends School for square dancing.
The Advanced class was from 1-3pm. Again, the brand new students continue to do way better than those taking the class for the 3rd or 4th time. I think a lot of it has to do with the new students being more familiar with the Plus level. These other Advanced dancers only "dance" Advanced, and they suck at knowing the basics.
Instead of having the C1/C3A classes today, it was an A2/C1/C2 dance with Bill Eyler. It was okay. Bill has a soothing voice, and his being furry gets mega points with me. There was one C3A star tip. I guess that Bill doesn't call C3A, so Harlan called it. He made it a C3A class-level tip, since our class is dark this week and next. We had enough for one full square, and then a square with 5 dancers and 3 phantoms. I was the in the one with the phantoms. Not optimal, but it was still fun.
Got home and found Steve still home. No LS for him today. Had dinner, played Scrabble, and now just TV and starting to pack for this week's trip to Vancouver & Seattle.
