After a rather gray Tuesday, it was nice to have a sunny Wednesday.

Went to Costco and did some damage. It seems that Steve is as bad as me. I hate being the one to say, "No, put that down." Heck, if it fits in the cart, it can't be that bad, right?

We left shortly before 5pm to head down the peninsula. Went to Chef Chu's for dinner. They sat us at a table next to a table with a couple of SF bears. Small world. They left and were replaced by a man and a woman in their 60's. They seemed to be on a date, as she had to asked if he liked spicey food. They got into talking about politics. It was nice to hear these older straight people get riled up about republicans, bash Cheney, and speak up for gay marriage. And I don't think it was just for our benefit either.

Got to ECR shortly after 6:30pm. Rich hadn't started yet. The Advanced dancing was okay. They finally got enough for more than a square, so I stood aside and danced with 7 phantoms. Guess the eyepatch didn't even make things challenging enough.

Diane Gaskill was the guest caller at 7:30pm. We made it through one tip. It was just too painful. With [livejournal.com profile] excessor off doing household things, there wasn't much reason to stay. I know it's nice that we support callers in the LGBT community, but it usually isn't so painful. Heck, I paid my $3 and showed up. That's support for the club. I did hear someone badmouth a person whom I don't respect, so that was worth the $3 right there.

Got home before 9pm. Played some Scrabble, watched some Olympics, then crashed.
