Saturday & Sunday stuff

The trip to Angel Island on Saturday was okay. I guess that 32 people from the WSD group went, although I didn't know several people. There were lots of non-dancers. We got there before 10:30am, but people seemed to want to eat right away. It remained overcast until a bit after noon. We danced a few tips. I was not feeling too well, so instead of hiking around the island, we caught the 12:50pm ferry back. The ferry made a stop at Alcatraz, which is how I snapped this photo of enhydrasf and double_ohsteven. Rode the F-line back to the Castro, stopped in at Starbears, then spent the evening at home.

Spent most of Sunday at home. Went out to the Lone Star for beerbust, hoping to see Vic and Dave. Even with the eyepatch, I was able to spot Dave right away. It was nice to visit with them. I hadn't got to say goodbye previously when they moved away to Connecticut.

The Lone Star had a decent crowd. My eyepatch was popular. Some people who hardly say two words to me came up to chat. Cool. I'll be hanging on to that for awhile. ;-)
