All roads lead to Rome
Sep. 11th, 2012 08:51 amI've been working at the office on Geary for the past month. It's an easy, single bus ride from my house.
Today I'm working at Lakeshore out on Sloat Boulevard. I take the K or M muni to St. Francis Circle, then take the #23 bus or walk the mile to work. It's a nice, flat walk, going past the south and west side of Stern Grove.
This morning, I got on the L-Terrible by mistake. I didn't realize it until it had already turned away from West Portal Station. Oh well, I can catch the #23 bus at the other end. But that's a roundabout way.
I decided to get off at Taraval and 33rd Avenue. I have no idea really where that is. Somewhere in boring Sunset land. I just know that Taraval is probably parallel to Sloat, and I work near 34th & Sloat. It was a decent walk. I got to walk on the East and North side of Stern Grove. I saw a sign that coyotes have been seen in that area recently. Then I saw a poster for a missing cat.
My mistake only added about 10 minutes to my commute. Always nice to see something new. I might have to screw up again.
