The medical center where I work is finally moving to an electronic medical record. I went to "superuser" training on Monday & Tuesday.

I've been excited for this move forward. Now I'm scared. The lack of preparation is amazing. We go live in one month. Our doctors are going to be overwhelmed and some of our nurses are just too stupid. And they'll all bother me with questions.

Biting one's tongue

I called a patient from the waiting room to do his vitals. Gaydar was only half working. Patient was wearing an overcoat and a sweater.
Me: "You can hang your things on the coat hook and then step onto the scale."
Him: "How much should I take off?"
