kidney stones question

Question for all of you that have had kidney stones: Is the pain much worse in the morning?

I have some symptoms of kidney stones (I've never had them before). I checked my urine at the clinic, but there is no hematuria present. I ruled out kidney stones based on that. (I also checked with two of our clinic doctors.) I did lift a patient onto an exam table this week, so I thought maybe it was just a pulled flank muscle.

Anyhow, the pain is always extreme first thing in the morning, so I thought I'd ask those who've had kidney stones previously. Thanks.

(If this doesn't improve, I'll go to my doctor next week.)

Thanks for all your info regarding kidney stones. Now I'm guessing that's not what it is.

After four days of pain in the back (including this morning), I've now had some keel-over pain in the side and front upper abdomen. It's alive.

After a gestation period of five years, the baby has apparently started to crawl. They all grow up so fast! I'm going to see the doctor (or OBGYN) on Monday. Time to start thinking of names.
