I received an official rejection notice yesterday afternoon to the internal job for which I applied recently. The email was personalized to include strengths I mentioned in my interview. That was decent of them.
I'm pretty bummed. I've interviewed and not gotten lots of jobs before. That's par for the course for most people, right? This time is different for me. This job would have been a culmination of all my experience and skills from the Army to Financial Services to the Medical Center. It seemed made for me. (Except for the minimal pay.) I guess I wasn't the right person for the job, but the job was the right job for me.
If I can't get hired internally for this particular job, I pretty much have no hope of ever getting hired internally for anything else.
Now on to win the lottery!!!
