English is tough

I just checked the vital signs of a delightful 80-year old Chinese man. I asked the reason for his visit. He told me a couple times, but I ended up just nodding my head and saying "okay."

A minute later it dawned on me that he was here to review his ultrasound results. "Ultrasound" is not a Chinese-friendly word.

Got out for the evening

I got home to find an email from Jane. She invited me to spend some time out with some squaredancing chums this evening. It was good to get out and see some people that I haven't seen for months.

It's nice to have no school this week. I'm done with most of my spring break homework. Just two more days of work, then it's vacation time until the 15th. Whee.
