Jan. 21st, 2009 05:27 pmMy history teacher gave us a list of books from which to choose to do a book report. (Written or oral, my choice.) He described a few of the books on the list, including James Baldwin's Giovanni's Room. Steve told me that it's short, and the teacher said it was hard to put down. Have you read it? Although it takes place in Paris, I'm supposed to relay it to U.S. History somehow.
At lunchtime, I went to the Western Addition branch of the library and got a new library card. Turns out the cards expire every four years. Go figure.
