Dec. 5th, 2008 07:46 amI found this Twinkie Defense huffpo article by Paul Krassner interesting. It had some details about Dan White's interrogation that I didn't know.

CineArts Milk Protest
Dec. 5th, 2008 08:08 pmKudos to sfmoviebears and especially
greengadfly for assisting with the CineArts protest of Milk tonight. (Or is that Milk protest of CineArts? "No Milk for Cinemark.")
There were about 15 guys there to hand out flyers, which was a perfect number of people for the space and number of passersby. Most people didn't know that the CEO of Cinemark (owner of CineArts) gave $10,000 to yes-on-8. A surprising number of people changed their minds and decided to go elsewhere. Many people who had already purchased tickets online seemed crestfallen. I just told them to enjoy the movie, but don't buy concessions. One person with a ticket asked for a refund and got it.
Most people were really nice. Drew was a magnet for a couple of grumpy drunk ugly men who gave him a hard time, but I chalk that up to his innate magnetism in general.
There's a repeat protest tomorrow night, same place (85 West Portal), same time (6pm-7pm). Hope you can make it.
