I've been taking Ambien for the last several months to help me sleep. It has worked really well. I get the cheaper, generic version, zolpidem. Last week, they couldn't refill the rx because they were out-of-stock. They did say that they finally got in a shipment on Saturday, but it was by Roxane, a different manufacturer. No big whoop, right?

I took the Roxane zolpidem for several nights. There was a noticeable difference. It didn't work as well. I've heard patients complain when something like this happens, but I never really believed them. Now I do. I called the pharmacist at Walgreens yesterday to see what I should do. Turns out, they did get the backordered shipment from Teva, the previous manufacturer. Brett, the pharmacist, told me to bring in my unused portion, and they'd replace it, which I did this morning. Pays to ask.

The headline Caltrain hits trespasser on tracks has me worried. REALLY worried.

Exactly how many people is Caltrain hitting who aren't on the tracks, and why are those stories being covered up?

Prop 8 protest 2008-11-07

After work, I came home, changed, then we headed out to dinner at Blue. We timed it just right to join the protest march at Market & Noe. We marched with thousands of protesters through the Castro and then down to Dolores Park.

After awhile at Dolores Park, the crowd marched back up to the Castro. We stepped out of the march at 18th & Castro and watched the rest of the protesters go by. It was amazing.

I saw a few LJ'ers, but the crowd was too big to spot 'em all. Hunky [livejournal.com profile] 3dollarbilly did tap me on the shoulder.

As one said, "I'm tired of asking to be accepted. I'm now demanding to be equal." I wish all gay people would stop asking.

At the protest tonight, a woman was walking through the crowd with a handful of flyers. "Get a copy of your rights!" Steve held out his hand. She started to hand him a sheet, then she snatched it away. "You can't have them!" It was very effective. She then did hand him a sheet with a list of the U.S. Constitutional rights. "As long as you promise to cherish them."
