Rough school week
Apr. 12th, 2008 04:07 pmIt was a busy week at school, culminating in a presentation today along with an essay exam, both in my English 1A class. I was working on my presentation until after midnight last night, but I got it done. Thank goodness that I'm also taking speech class this semester, because the skills I learned there certainly helped.
My speech went well. I spoke about gays in the military. Part of our past reading was about "keeping silent" and on "covering," both which tied in well to the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy. I was able to relay my own experiences in the Army, and that seemed to pique interest.
The in-class essay went better than the last couple. I really hate those.
I have just over a month of classes left for the semester. Getting through today was a big hurdle. I'm confident that I'll be able to hang on until the end. Well, the end of the semester anyhow.
