Fucking taxes

This registered domestic partner tax thing is crap. For instance, my medical expenses were right about the 7.5% of my AGI, so I didn't bother to itemize this on my individual return. Steve's medical expenses were way more than 7.5% of his AGI, so that meant I had to go back and itemize the dozens and dozens of my prescription receipts, etc. for our fake joint return. It was way too much effort to then check if married filing singly was better than married filing jointly on the state return, so we ended up saying "just fuck it" and filed jointly.

It probably only added about a dozen arguments between us this week. Luckily that's over. Fucking taxes.
