Steve has been telling people, "My boyfriend isn't speaking to me."

He is conveniently leaving off the part about the laryngitis.

Speechless

I got through my speech okay tonight in class. I let them know that I might be squeaky due to the laryngitis, and I was indeed squeaky. My voice also trembled some from nerves, but I got through it.

Except for the voice, most of the speech went fine. I followed the guidelines pretty well, especially compared to how far some other students didn't comply.

Now I have to think up a persuasive topic. I just watched an episode of The Onion on TiVo where they debate a new Iraqi law requiring a 5-day waiting period on suicide vests. That seems like a decent topic.
