Get your leg up.....date
Jan. 9th, 2008 10:46 amI went to my surgeon today for a follow-up. She thinks things are progressing fine with my leg. The wound is still a bit worrisome, but getting much better.
She got a letter from the workers comp people trying to tell her that my job is sedentary. She laughed, as she's familiar with the job of medical assistant. I sit at a computer a good deal of the time, but a lot of the time is hopping up getting charts (could be every 5-10 minutes), rooming patients and cleaning exam rooms. She said if they modified my job, it'd be fine for me to return to work before February 15th. I'd be fine with that, ordering other people to pull charts and clean rooms! Otherwise, my doctor thinks February 15th is still a good target date.
Workers comp is sending me for a 2nd opinion on January 30th. Besides telling me that my leg should be good to go for work on February 15th, I'm not sure what their 2nd opinion should be. That I'm quirky?
