HIV doc visit
Sep. 7th, 2007 09:45 amMy appointment with my GP was at 7:20am. I love that my doctor has such early appointments so that I can get to work by 8am. But I'm not working right now, so 7:20am kinda bites; however, I didn't want to reschedule yet again. Oh well. I'm a morning person.
NextBus showed a 45-minute gap between busses. I wasn't gonna make the 6:03am bus, and the 6:48am bus would not connect in time with the other bus. I ended up calling a taxi.
My doctor reviewed labwork with me from Wednesday. With my injury and some weightgain, I expected bad numbers. They weren't too bad. My CD4 dropped from 407 to 394. My HDL was better, but my LDL was worse. Most everything else seemed "on track." I let him know that Dr. Cheung had also gave me Ambien that has been iffy. He upped it from 5mg to 10mg.
Next visit is scheduled for Pearl Harbor Day.
Bussed back to the Castro, had a grande coffee at Starbears, then bussed home. I was able to hobble from the bus stop to home without having to stop several times. I was drenched in sweat, but I'm getting better with the crutches. Now if I could just figure out how to not keep falling down the front steps!
