Longtime readers may remember that my father was diagnosed with bone cancer a few years ago. Usually life expectancy with that diagnosis is six months. Well, he's still kicking.
Unfortunately, bone cancer is a very painful cancer. Pain management is difficult as far as drugs. Even the strongest stuff doesn't dull everything. Too much leaves you feeling too groggy, etc.
My dad is fortunate that his wife is a nurse. She's a real bitch, but that's finally come in useful over the past few years. This week she was able to snag a snazzy wheelchair for him. He thinks things are "getting better." I guess after living for 30 years with that woman, his perspective of "better" might be different than most.
