I went down to the SF AIDS Foundation today and applied for ADAP. This program will help make co-payments for my meds.
They needed tons of stuff to prove eligibility: tax returns, a diagnosis letter from my doctor, lab results, proof of medicines, bank statements, utility bills, blah blah blah. Fortunately, I brought everything that they needed.
The paperwork took about an hour. On the bright side, my eligibility should kick in tomorrow. That's quick! It should cover over half of my meds. It doesn't look like it will take care of the diabetes stuff, which is the most expensive copay I have, but any help is nice.
Being poor paid off. The bittersweet part is that my new job pays so little that I'll still be eligible for assistance in the future. LOL
