I got up and headed out around 8am to Starbears. It was a touch nippy out, but it looked to be a good day.

After a brief stop at Starbears, I got on Muni to Civic Center. [livejournal.com profile] heypyro was on his way to work, and we chatted a bit about Coachella.

I then caught BART to Pleasant Hill to go [livejournal.com profile] squaredancing. There was no one interesting in Car Ten. (Okay, technically it was Car Nine.) Dang.

I walked to the dance venue from the BART station. Google says it's 2.1 miles, but it didn't seem like it was too far. The weather was perfect for a nice walk.

I stopped at the coffee shop and spent some time with Jane & [livejournal.com profile] wooddragon before the dancing started. The dance hall was a bit warm while dancing, but the breeze outside during the breaks was perfect.

I got a ride back to the City with the Queens. Traffic wasn't too bad on the bridge, and we got home in about 45 minutes.

[livejournal.com profile] double_ohsteven and I went out to eat at Ararat, just down from Starbears. We hadn't been there since it opened. We had some tapas. Steve wanted some lamb (Lule kebab). I'm not a lamb fan, but it looked good. I tried a bit, and it was great. I haven't had lamb that often, but this was the only time I've liked it. We also had some calamari, shrimp casserole, and savory pastries. (I'm eating anything until meeting with the dietician on Wednesday, so shut up.) The food was good. The calamari was okay, but one thing special about it is that it had some deep fried lemon slices. I've never had those before. Really tasty!
