Back from Hawaii
Mar. 4th, 2006 06:08 pmThe trip to Hawaii was nice. I didn't pass out from coughing or anything. I got to feeling better most of the time while there. There were a couple episodes of walking in the evening where the reduced lung capacity was a chore, but I'm doing much better, and I'm really happy that I went on the trip.
When we arrived on Thursday evening, the pilot said that it was 73 degrees. Perfect! Or so I thought. I stepped into the open air airport, and the humidity hit me hard. Wow, I forgot how much I can't stand humidity!
They were having a series of unusual storms while we were there. When I got up in the morning and saw on the news that rains had closed some schools, it seemed like more than "just" a tropical rainstorm. For the most part, the rain was off and on during the trip. It was "off" enough of the time to enjoy it. I did see Oahu weather mentioned on CNN news, so it was a bit of a deal.
More about the trip later. I was uncomfortable and didn't sleep on the redeye back this morning. I got in a few hours sleep after coming home, but I've been pretty cranky today. A good night's sleep tonight should help.
Maholo nui loa to
