[livejournal.com profile] double_ohsteven left for Spain yesterday morning. Three weeks without him seems like it will be a long time. He's been gone before for a couple months at a time. I'm usually fine. I know that he's gonna have a great time. I'm sure it'll go by quickly, but I miss him already. He did leave word that he got to Sitges okay. He and [livejournal.com profile] iberianbear are in the same HO-tel. Hmmmmm....

We are briefly learning to give massage at school. Sometimes Medical Assistants are required to do this before the Physical Therapist takes over. So today I gave a massage and then gave a gluteal injection. Sounds like a good combo to me.

Exactly two weeks of school left. I heard that I'll find out my externship site next week. If I end up in an OB/GYN clinic, someone is gonna pay big time. But, I'll still be professional and keep patient confidentiality. (No need to worry, [livejournal.com profile] excessor.)

We had a test in the 10 o'clock class. I got done at 10:15am and headed home, totally skipping the 11 o'clock class. I had a full afternoon planned.

This afternoon I went in and did temp work in an office. Did some filing, etc. Big thanks to my friend who got me the work! It was nice to keep busy while Steve is away, although wearing a tie is stifling!

Got back to the Castro (seeing [livejournal.com profile] blurkerbear at Castro Station), and I stopped at Welcome Home for an early bird special. Early bird was right, as it was baked chicken. It was very good, although eating at a restaurant alone seems pretty sad. I just wasn't up for cooking at home. (Pushing those microwave buttons can be exhausting!)

I just found the following pic on my harddrive, and I don't think I ever posted it. Even though it's months late, I thought it was too cute not to share.
