The brief vacation from LJ is over. I won't chronologically detail events since last Thursday. Read or skip 'em at will. I'll try to break up the topics into separate posts as follows:

Doctor visit
Doctor visit gory details (friends-only)
Mario
CCBC/Sex
Seeing some particular guys naked (friends-only)
Dancing
LJ readers
BearWear, etc.
Trip home
Sick on Monday (public) and update (friends-only)

It always amazes me to find out that many more people read my blog than I can imagine. I wish there was an easy tool to track unique IP addresses of the readers. Guess I could use [livejournal.com profile] drewbearsf's pic method if I ever got off my butt to get a decent webstats provider.

Several bay area square dancers mentioned my blog this weekend. Too bad that they don't create a free LiveJournal account so that I could add their name to my "friend's" list so that they could comment on some of the private posts. HINT HINT.

I do miss LJ when I'm gone. Mostly trying to keep up on what's happening with everyone. Going through 250+ posts after the fact is a daunting chore. I kinda skipped over several entries. Some gems, like [livejournal.com profile] excessor's Best Man speech were good to come home to. As soon as I read that he'd be posting it, I had that waiting-for-ketchup anticipation kinda feeling come over me. I was not disappointed. And I can just picture his speech inflections. I love witty people.

Sunday lunch must have given me food poisoning. I stayed home sick on Monday. Didn't even bother with email until late on Monday night.

Wow. What a bad movie. But what was up with all that camera zooming and unzooming? Did they really think that was artistic or something? I have a hunch that it wasn't on purpose. Just bad cameramen. Hey, bad script writing, directing, acting, and special effects, so why not get some bad cameramen as well?

I fell out of my chair the first time I saw the screen editing with different images in different boxes on the screen. I had to remind myself that this was not a 1977 episode of Charlie's Angels.

One thing that I found interesting was the factual tie-in stuff. I had just seen a program on the History Channel about the Oracle of Delphi. It included things about bubbling water and leaking gases predicting earthquakes. However, the documentary made no mention of cheesy plotlines and bad special effects.
