Wednesday down the Peninsula
Apr. 1st, 2004 10:53 amAfter work I caught Caltrain down to Redwood City. Met up with Steve at the Eck Center, then off to Chili's in Mountain View for dinner. I thought the Steak & Portobello mushroom fajitas were really good.
Got to ECR in Palo Alto a bit after 6:30pm, so they had already started the Advanced review. Not enough people for two squares, so we tagged in. It was okay. Rich does a good job with it, even if we are a bit demanding.
dhbearguy showed up. The FCD and ECR classes are currently at the exact point in Andy's teaching order, so that's great for giving students attendance options.
It was good to see
excessor. He always makes me laugh.
The class was okay. There are several good students there, but it's now getting to the point where you can really see which ones are not doing so well. Some of the calls, like Spin Chain the Gears, are pretty complex to learn. I remember having to study the animations for a long time last year to learn this stuff. As Michael G. told me last night, "kids these days just don't study." LOL
