My one-on-one with Debra is stilled called a one-on-one, but it's really a two-on-one since Gizelle is there. Gizelle said it's because Debra is too nice. LOL. The meeting was scheduled for 4:30pm. I got a call at 3:15pm asking if I could meet then instead. I told them to give me 5 minutes. Showed up in Gizelle's office and waited another 5 minutes before Debra showed up.

The meeting was not very good. It got heated at times. Not much accomplished, although they gave me some more fuel to use against them. I'm not shy at bringing up things, like their budget and my impact on it. I did almost lose composure when I mentioned the word STRESS. This is really getting to me.

I left the meeting upset. But that didn't last long, as I got an interesting email from "Tom Tomorrow." Details in my next post...

Well, [livejournal.com profile] glovercom might be on "60 Minutes II" tonight, but in our efforts to out-whore ourselves to the media, I was mentioned on Sunday in the NY Times (not by name) and then (by name) yesterday in Tom Tomorrow's ("This Modern World") weblog.

In Sunday's NY Times, there was an offshore article by Tom Friedman. He mentioned my "My job went to India" t-shirt, although the stupid Indian woman he quoted phrased it wrongly. They also said the t-shirt maker made a bundle of money, so I laughed and figured they were talking about someone else with a similar idea.

Tom Tomorrow, of the "This Modern World" cartoon strip and website, made some comments on his site about the NY Times article. He had purported that it was a Brit who first made the t-shirt (possibly independent of me, I don't know), and he responded to Tom Friedman. He received a response that no, he was referring to an American who made the shirt, and he directed him to MY T-shirt.

"Tom Tomorrow" contacted me and asked me some questions about it. I responded, and he quoted me here in his website. He was kind enough to post a link to my site and encourage people to buy a shirt from me. So far, no takers, but I appreciated the attention.
