Saturday Cove & Costco
Mar. 1st, 2004 12:29 pmOn Saturday went to the Cove for lunch. I spied Merle enter the restaurant, but I managed to avoid any eye contact. So far so good. Paid and headed out, then Steve said he had to use the john. Ok, I'll wait outside. I'm followed outside by Merle. Damn. He goes on and on about showing up for a square dance on Friday night that didn't happen. Wow, I thought he was just a bad dancer. He's actually a bit loopy. Huh. He then went on about the incident at WSD where Joe asked him not to dance, and about how he was dancing SO well with NO mistakes. Yep, he IS loopy. He described Joe as "the heavyset one." LOL. Wait until I tell Joe THAT, since Joe is not a bit overweight. Steve came out, and Merle held out his hand and introduced himself. Steve avoided shaking his hand and said "I know who you are." Kinda creepy. Steve then pulled me away, so I excused myself from Merle. Boyfriends can be handy.
Hung out at Starbears, then walked home before driving to Costco. We haven't been to Costco in MONTHS. We didn't get anything out of the ordinary, but somehow we managed to spend over $400. The highest priced item was $28.99. Damn. Guess we won't have to return for a few more months.
Stayed in on Saturday night and watched some TV episodes of Friends and Will & Grace that Steve had taped. Nice, quiet evening.
