Monday meetings
Feb. 3rd, 2004 11:21 amHad my regular Monday project meeting. My part of this project is currently on hold, so I get to speak for about 15 seconds. The rest has nothing to do with me, so I'm forced to pretend to listen for the other 59 minutes and 45 seconds. Painful.
The rest of the day was busy. I didn't have time to grab a salad for lunch, so had to skip. My boss emails me that she wants to do my annual evaluation at 3pm in the cafeteria. Guess it's safer in a public setting? I respond that I'll be there, but will be a few minutes late since we're both scheduled to attend a division meeting from 2-3pm in a building a couple blocks away.
The 2-3pm meeting was so bad. They reviewed employee survey results. Rank of "offshore" as a concern to employee: #2. Number of minutes spent talking about offshore: 0. They also neglected to mention the upcoming staff cuts in our division.
( crappy review )
One good thing on Monday was that there was a new job posting that seemed to match my job talents really well. I might need to take a cut in pay, but that's fine. I'd rather be doing a job that I enjoy. I posted for the job and let my boss know. She was enthused.
