New Year's Eve
Jan. 2nd, 2004 10:21 amHad a great time at parties on NYE. First went to
glovercom's White Trash party. Every year I know fewer and fewer people there. Nice to meet new people, including
chriskomater. Too many LJ'ers out on NYE to list. Great to see so many. After a couple hours there, Steve, Witten, Rhoda and I hiked up to Bill M's party. None of us had been to his new condo. Wow. Very nice. Great deck with great views. Great men at his party. Steve and I headed out to the LS later than I wanted, and we had to wait in line. About 11:50pm, Jeff lets most everyone in line enter. The bar wasn't as crowded as in previous years. Had a great time there, too.
After three great celebrations, the rest of night sucked. It was pouring rain when we left, and we had no umbrella. No way we'd catch a taxi from there, since there were 20 people waiting for them down the block in front of the Stud. Aha! I remembered that the taxi company is located across from Costco on 9th Street. We walked there, only to realize they had moved. Grrrrrrr. Waited some more. Finally got a #9 bus to 16th Street. Caught a #22 bus from there to Church & Market. Walked home in the pouring rain from there. Steve was such a good sport about it. I've walked home in the rain from Bearhug previously, so no big deal, but I was just awed by Steve. Good boy.
