Sing, sing a song

Sing-a-long was fine. Lots of cancellations, so ended up with 5 friends over instead of a dozen. Less chaos that way. I certainly enjoyed the company. No one showed up from the "usual" sing-a-long crowd (those who came over to sing every week about a year ago). Scared off by the square dancing cult thing, I'm sure.

Out of here for a few days

Got some of the approvals for my work project today. I planned to install on December 4th, and the timing may have been tight. The one group on which I'm waiting has moved their install out one week, so I have extra days to get approvals. Great.

qbear gave me a heads up about a position in my old department. I contacted a former co-worker about it, and he'll discuss it next week with his boss. Great! Good job, qbear!

My director left a phonemail last night that she wanted to meet with me today. She left a second message later stating that she'd have to wait until next week, and it'd be better since my manager would be back from vacation. WTF? I've heard of three other meetings of peers with the director. None were good. She gave no indication of the topic. Guess we'll see. No sense worrying about it until next week.

We have a 7am flight tomorrow. The damned shuttle is picking us up at 4:30am. Sheesh. The only good thing is that we have a $9 per person coupon.

We're to arrive in Seattle around 9am. We'll drive to Fred's, then off to someone's house for Thanksgiving dinner in the afternoon. Steve goofed on the name of the host, so I'm not sure with whom we'll be eating. Of course, I only found out that he goofed AFTER I contacted the wrong person. Made for some interesting emails, though. And that guy is woofy.

Friday we'll drive to Vancouver for the square dance fly-in. We'll return to Seattle on Monday, then fly back to SFO on Tuesday. I'll resume blogging then.
