Jul. 1st, 2003 08:45 amI got through some ( stuff at work, )
Got home around 4pm. J said he'd call around then. I waited. Then I started to get stuff put aside to pack for convention and watch the game show network. J called around 6pm. He worked late. Can he still come over? I usually opt out when given the chance, but opportunity is not a lengthy visitor. He walked from Noe Valley (quite the hike) and got there around 6:30pm. He was able to tell me about lots of plants in the backyard. He knows his stuff. The HUGE tree in the yard is the avocado tree. I thought it was the smaller one. Nope. Hope we get enough light for the avocados to ripen. The small is a Meyer Lemon tree. Apparently Meyer lemons are the best lemons out there. Had a nice visit [eg], and J left around 7:15pm.
More packing and TV watching. F called. He won't be coming into town this week after all. Whew. Not a good week for us to host overnight guests. Briefly chatted on the phone with Steve. I headed to bed fairly early. ( Some odd dreams )
Got up around 6am. I haven't set the alarm clock for weeks, except when staying at Steve's. I'm just naturally waking up early. Made scrambled eggs, read a couple sections of the newspaper, and checked my email. I got a response to my Bear411 ad for a Canadian visiting in October. At 6'5", he was quite woofy. Listed as a top. Hmmmm. Might be a job for Double-0-Steven. I'll have him check into it. I also got an email from that cute guy from Bearlunch. He ran across my blog and my mention of him. We're having lunch tomorrow. Now that's reason enough to blog...
Got to work and flipped my calendar from June to July. Yep, the year is half gone. The rest of 2003 will only get better.
