Before we left for the pool party, I went to Cala and picked up some cheese to take to the party. I got home and saw that the mailman had delivered Harry Potter. With so many books to deliver, I wonder if they had a special "Harry Potter" deliveryman for the day. I cut the cheese into cubes, and got everything else ready to go. Steve assembled hamburgers, ready to grill. On the drive to Cupertino, I got 4 chapters into finding out the latest about Harry.

Got to the pool party on Saturday at 2:05pm. It started at 2pm, but besides Nathan & Per, only Pete was there. It was quite warm and sunny, so I shucked my shirt and sat in the sun by the pool for awhile. Others meandered in. Having gotten enough sun for one sitting, I moved around the corner to where others had gathered near the BBQ. After 3pm, there still weren't many people at the party. A lot of guys were up at the Gay Rodeo. Others were at the SVB pool party. Steve cooked our hamburgers, and we ate. Finally a cute couple showed up. It was their first event with SBB. Too bad it was such a dismal turnout. Turns out that they had previously square danced with ECR, and Steve had met them there. After a bit, I shucked my remaining clothes and hopped into the pool. The water was very warm. About half a dozen guys were in the pool now. Steve came out in a swimsuit, but shucked that when he saw no one else had one. We stayed in the pool for quite a long time. Long enough for the sun to hide behind the trees and it start to get cooler. Steve got me hard with a bit of frottage. I ended up staying in the pool until my hardon decided it'd had enough. We sat and chatted with others for a bit. Around 7pm, we decided to head out. Nothing too worthy of action there.

Stopped at Lunardi's on the way to Steve's for some rotisserie chicken. Steve wasn't feeling good, and went to bed. I ate chicken, then watched some TV. Steve got up and watched some TV with me. Getting lots of sun and pool time, I headed to bed fairly early.

Sunday I got up, showered, and moved one of Steve's ancient 386 computers to his car. It was cluttering up his bedroom, not giving full access to the fireplace. May as well TRY to remove some of the clutter. No one is showing interest in buying his house. We continue to disagree about staging his house. Instead of trying to make the house look better, he just wants to continually lower the price. It's his house, but I think he is blind to how cluttered it is. The weather isn't cooperating much. There hasn't been a clear view of San Francisco in any of my recent visits. If people could just see the view, that might sway them.

We drove up to the City in time for the 11am MCC service. Mike sat next to Steve. Karen Foster preached. It was ok. I'm not too keen on the new music director yet. She'll have to win me over more than she has these past two weeks.

After church, Steve made bacon and eggs. Steve then went to set up his old computer. He needs to copy some files off of it. The thing is so old it has a 5" floppy drive ONLY. Egads. Laplink the stuff, then trash it. Grrrrr. I read more Harry Potter, then napped a bit. Steve crawled in with me. He later got me all hot and bothered, then said it was time to go. ** sigh **

We got to the Lone Star around 4:45pm. Not too crowded. No lines. But they WERE having a beer bust. We both bought into it, although I stuck with club soda. The crowd picked up. I saw SO many friends and acquaintances, and even some unfamiliar handsome faces. It was not crowded by any means, but it was a fantastic crowd. With the back bar open, life was good. I was really wanting a drink to add to the ambience, but I stuck to Atkins. My last day of the first two weeks. Starting today, I can add alchohol to my diet. Only hard stuff. No beer. Hard stuff and meat. Hmmmm. Hard meat is a good thing, as Greg pointed out to me.

I hung out with Greg and Eric for awhile, and then just Eric for awhile. Glover showed up and talked about some hunky guy he just met at the Eagle who was a caller for ECR. LOL. Of course, that was Andy, whom he had included in his Spectrum column to list the square dance Intro nights. I'd given him the info for Spectrum, so he didn't know Andy. Later, John and Chris showed up with Andy in tow. They seemed to take a liking to him, especially Chris. It seemed it was mutual. Maybe Andy's appearance will recruit some guys to the square dance Intro night.

It was a great time at the LS. A really hunky guy from Texas kept his shirt off, even when it started getting cool. Steve was getting his (my) money's worth from the beer bust, and joined the bandwagon in kissing the hunky Texan. That's my boy. Having beer busts back is a good thing. We left at 8pm. There was quite a line outside. Not sure what they were expecting to see at 8pm, end of beer bust. Maybe taking advantage of the situation. :-) Since I only club soda, I drove home. Sundays seem to be the worst day for parking in the neighborhood. Usually it's not a problem. I dropped Steve off, then I circled the block 3 times. Someone pulled out on 19th Street, so I got their space. I headed down the "Seward Alley" steps. I don't use them much. The alley for the garages is indeed odd looking in this City. The steps end a couple doors down and across the street from me. Very convenient.

I got up this morning and moved Steve's car to a spot that had opened across the street from our flat. The partyers and tricks from Sunday nights always leave a glut of available parking spots on Monday morning.

I did my abs tape, showered, then I made a couple strips of bacon and an omelette for breakfast. Note to self: buy more mushrooms. I'll be off to weigh myself later this morning. Some clothes are still quite tight, so we'll see what the scales reveal later.

Scales didn't budge. Guess that's better than gaining. I'm frustrated and confused. Guess I'll try to lower the intact and work on that defining "full" vs. "stuffed." All that work to avoid carbs for nought. Next week will show a difference. It must.
