Therapist, Schmerapist
Mar. 16th, 2004 03:08 pmMonday was busy at work. During lunch, I volunteered to work the desk for our Gay group in front of the cafeteria. It was something promoting diversity at the company this week. There were others from the women's, hispanic, and black groups as well.
After work I went to the therapist for my second appointment. We talked for a bit, but there was too much quiet time. We decided that I have enough outlets for dealing with stress, and going to a therapist really isn't for me. I'm stuck in a job situation that is too stressful, and therapy can't help that situation. I'll just be stressed as long as I'm here, so it's more of a matter for my physician to decide if the job stress is too much for my health.
WHATEVER.
Got home, and needed to relieve more stress. I went to WSD for square dancing. During the first tip, I realized I was exhausted from the weekend. Oh well, I stayed and tried to make the most out of it. That class does pretty well. Gray & Tacks bring their dog, who is fun to watch. He seems to enjoy watching the dancers. A couple kids from the playground came in the door to watch us dance. They must have been about 3 years old at the most. They got all excited to see us dancing, LOL.
Joe was back from Spain. He got back on Saturday. He was there during the bombings, and had been at the train station just a couple days prior to that. He said the emotion of the people was far more intense than what you could see from TV.
It was a pleasant night, and that made for a good walk home.
