LOL. Actually, my husband and I went to Palm Springs for the July 4th weekend. Fortunately, it didn't get TOO hot yet, and we had a great time. I got a great tan, and we had a blast! (Several actually, but that's another story).

The travel agent tried to get me to go to Death Valley but I said enough was enough. Besides, who wants to go to Utah?

I just saw that Southwest Airlines has a sale on fares from San Jose International to Hell. One-way tickets start at $59. Roundtrips currently unavailable.

Your "bacon" comment got me thinking about that damned "Beggin' Strips" commercial. I can just see the dog whining "I smell bacon!" with the camera then pointing to you sizzling by the pool.

I prefer flying Southwest OAK to Ontario and renting a car to drive the last 59 miles. I may have to go in AUGUST..to an HOA meeting. Still deciding. Gad...hot...argh.

That's what I normally do. It's convenient to fly into PS itself but more expensive.
