Closed shops
The increasing closed shops in the Castro is pretty depressing. The B.A.R. did an article on it recently, but it's been going on for a long time. I moved to SF nearly 7 years ago. The Patio has been closed that entire time, although it's neon sign is there to remind me that it once existed.
I did see this week that a chocolate shop is going in where Tully's had closed, next to the closed-up Harvey's. Enzi has moved his hair salon from across from Firewood to further up 18th - across from the deserted My Best Friend.
Today I see that Ritz Camera at 18th & Castro is closing.
I'm sure my email to Bevan Dufty does nothing, but at least I sent it.
