Intro to Plus
Feb. 25th, 2004 10:20 amWork was very busy yesterday. I got handed a lot of assignments. They are even do-able. That's the biggest surprise.
My one-on-one meeting with my boss was very different. I had so many tasks going on, that she just got a recap on each of them and made general comments. She has a special form that she uses for each one-on-one, but she didn't bother with it this time. She is soon going to have only 3 employees reporting to her. Maybe she finally figured out that she'll be out of here soon as well.
Steve had a dental appointment at 4pm near my office. I dropped off an "I-love-you" card for them to give to him as a surprise. I thought the receptionist would give it to him. Instead, the dentist did. Steve was at first baffled as to why the dentist was telling him he loved him. LOL.
Ran into a few square dancers at Firewood and sat with them. Then off to the Intro to Plus night. Andy's first MS tip was pretty fast and very fun. Even the weaker dancer in my square did well for that tip. After that, they didn't do so well. Whatever. The weakest dancer from the WSD MS class showed up. That was a surprise. They still have at least a dozen MS calls to learn. Last year I jumped from WSD's MS class to FCD's Plus class, but at least I had thoroughly studied the definitions, watched animated gifs countless times, and even watched square dance instructional videos. I'm pretty sure that this guy hadn't done that. He broke down his square a lot. I think he's hot.
Went to Starbucks with Joe & Don. During Sunday's MNS meeting, Judith voiced a complaint that C1 students were dancing C1 at club night. Don said that Richard had complained. I first thought he meant Richard Tuck, but it was Richard from my C1 class. There is a problem in that Lorraine comes and tries to dance C1, but she hasn't bothered to learn the rest of the calls, and stops and says "I don't know how to do this call." Well, then don't try to dance full C1, duh. Richard hasn't learned all the calls either. Guess I'll just go to MNS club night tonight and sit out the full A2 and C1 tips, since I haven't officially finished either class. Just cuz I can dance better A2 than most of them and C1 better than some of them makes no difference.
